How much should children of God know of the world, its people, and its practices? At what point does knowledge of evil affect righteous living? Is Gospel simplicity and innocence a thing of the past? The devil has always been busy getting his “news” into the hands of the masses. He has hijacked postal mail, radio, television, and now internet to carry his corruption in abundance. In our "Google Society," one now has the unprecedented capability of asking the medium questions on any subject that comes to mind.

It is a common practice of the world today to clap for someone who performs as a way of cheering for them. When our chorus sings at rehabs and elderly care facilities, the people often clap after each song. The better the performance is, the longer the round of applause. This attention is somewhat addictive. Our flesh likes it because we feel their approval.

The term “selfie” is a very new word that was invented as a result of electronic media. It is the name for a picture of “me, taken by me, and sent out to others by me.” Something is propelling this drive to put my picture out to the public. Much of the “selfie” spirit is rooted in the self-centeredness of our day.

Human hearts have always been fascinated with and drawn to the edge. The edge lies between the known and the unknown, the safe and the unsafe, the good and the bad, the right and the wrong, the possible and the impossible, the legal and the illegal. In the beginning of time, Satan pointed Eve to the edge. He did not highlight the beauty of all the selection of good fruit in the garden. He pointed out the one and only forbidden tree.
