Understanding the laws and traditions of that time help us understand more about Jesus and who He was.
Jesus broke some of these laws and in doing so affirmed that He was Christ. For instance, Jesus reached out and touched the man who had leprosy. According to tradition, no one would have ever done that because they most likely would've gotten leprosy. But because of Jesus' love, he did it anyway!
