A sermon from Abraham's call and journey.
1. The Call - God called him from Ur, then again from Haran when Abraham stopped there.
2. The Journey - "Strange" (enemy) territory. The Canaanite was in the land.
- Canaanite may have influenced toward materialism. A temptation we face.
- Abraham built an altar. Unified his family in serving God. This was also a witness to the Canaanites of whom he was serving.
3. We are looking for a city. Hebrews 11:11-16
- Don't get distracted. v15. Be mindful of our heavenly journey.
